scouting for everyone, everywhere
Scoutreach is the BSA’s commitment to making sure that every child has access to a high-quality Scouting experience regardless of their circumstances, ethnic background, or location.
Our goal is to make Scouting accessible to as many children in our community as possible, helping to shape their lives to become well rounded, upstanding individuals in their communities and homes.

When I first arrived at camp, I was nervous and did not know what to expect. I didn’t think I had it in me to stay for a whole week in the summer heat so far from home. But as I progressed through the week, I started enjoying my experience more and more. I got along well with the other Scouts and started to immerse myself in the learning experience. I learned valuable tools like the EAR (Explore. Acknowledge. Respond.) and EDGE (Explain Demonstrate. Guide. Enable) methods of communication and teaching both that cannot only be used in Scouting, but in my everyday life. The experience once on the other side was worthwhile.
Going to Jamboree was one of the most fun and engaging experiences I’ve had. From meeting people from all over the country, to patch trading with people along trails, getting to cooking meals with my troop members, and many more great experiences. For anyone considering if they would like to, I would highly recommend they do. There’s so much to do and so many things to see that you might not get a chance to do again.
