Who We Are
Since 1910, Scouting has helped mold the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. Scouting America believes and, through nearly a century of experience, understands that helping youth puts us on a path toward a more conscientious, responsible, and productive society.
A Culture Of Diversity And Inclusion
Scouting America's Laurel Highlands Council fosters a culture of diversity and inclusion that makes participating, volunteering, and working in the Scouting program an enriching experience. We invite all people to get involved in Scouting, mindful of the importance of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, socioeconomic status, religion, physical ability, and political belief. We create a positive and welcoming environment for all, valuing the backgrounds and experiences that grow and strengthen our movement and allow us to continue serving as a valued contributor to the communities we serve.
