Camp Anawanna is nestled on 350 acres in the foothills or rural Washington County near the town of amity. This camp has running water, cabins, adirondack shelters, campsites, hiking trails and several fields for open program. Camp Anawanna has plenty of space for the large activities.

Camp Baker has a beautiful park like setting. it has many tent camping sites with picnic tables, running water, adirondack shelters, hiking trails, several fields for open program, and a large stone pavilion. With 164 acres to explore, this camp is ideal for troop weekend camping or a pack picnic.

Camp Guyasuta dates back to 1918 when it was donated by Mrs. Darlington, the great granddaughter of General O’Hara. This beautiful property consists of 129-acres located in O’Hara Township, PA, only six miles from downtown Pittsburgh. Camp Guyasuta is a great get-away for your pack, troop, or crew all with being close to home. Looking for day events or activities? Guyasuta has it all! Take aim and hone your skills at the BB, archery, or slingshot ranges or test your wits on our high and low ropes course.

Camp Potomac is nestled on 114 acres of hardwood forest in the hills of Allegany County, Maryland. Just minutes away from historic downtown Cumberland, Maryland, Camp Potomac can serve as your gateway to adventure. Whether your scouts are looking for a biking or hiking trip on the C&O Canal, Canoeing the Potomac River through the Camp Potomac River Base programs, or fishing in our well stocked lake, there is always something adventurous to experience at Camp Potomac. Camp Potomac offers running water, cabins, Adirondack shelters, campsites, rifle, shotgun and archery ranges and a private stocked lake for hours of fishing fun. Camp Potomac now offers a brand new year-round heated bathhouse for use by our guests. We are looking forward to providing many improvements to Camp Potomac in the near future! CAMP POTOMAC RIVER BASE
Enjoy a unique opportunity to explore a peaceful float along the Potomac River.
CPRB will provide several options for trips lasting various times within two different states Maryland and West Virginia. Scout units must do safety afloat training prior to the canoe trip. Units must have vehicles with a 2-inch ball hitch capable of towing a canoe trailer. All canoe trip equipment is provided. You simply stay overnight at Camp Potomac and in the morning, hook up the canoes and be on your way. Meet with Camp Potomac Ranger Andy and take the paddles, lifejackets and trip information.
Another option that we offer is to provide a packed lunch from a nearby store. You can purchase lunch online for $6 when you make your reservation. Scout leaders can pick lunches up the night before or the morning of your trip. Don’t forget to leave a copy of your BSA Tour Permit with Ranger Andy.

Camp Seph Mack is located on Yellow Creek Lake near Penn Run, PA. Camp Seph Mack encompasses approximately 200 acres within the boundaries of Yellow Creek State Park and lies along the north shore with almost 4,000 feet of lake frontage. Fully equipped with pavilion shelters, dining hall, running water, cabins, modern facilities and equipment.

First opened in 1980, Heritage Reservation has been the premier destination for Scouts and Scouters of Laurel Highlands Council and beyond. The Reservation is home to Eagle Base and Camps Independence, Liberty, and Freedom, as well as a year-round conference center available for all to use. Main attractions for campers include 270 acre Lake Courage with over six miles of shoreline, excellent shooting facilities, and nearly 2,000 acres of beautiful mountain woodlands.
Varying accommodations are available; stay in a house or bring your own tent; Heritage hosts groups of all shapes and sizes. For those looking to spend time on the Reservation, there’s plenty to do. Go fishing, play Ga Ga, shoot hoops, try your hand at tennis, take on the challenge of geocaching or orienteering, or hone in on developing other Scout skills! Been there, done that? Revel in the past at Fort Necessity, dive into Laurel Caverns, go rafting down the Yough, admire the beauty of Fallingwater, or explore the lovely mountains. Whatever you’re looking for, Heritage has it for you to choose your own adventure.

As part of an update to the Guide to Safe Scouting at the end of February 2023, the section on Cub Scout Unit-Coordinated Camping received several clarifications and updates.

What has changed?
- Begining September 1, Cub Scout Packs can camp for two consecutive nights.
- Clarification that Cub Scouts must attend unit-coordinated camping events with their parent(s)/legal guardians(s).
- Adult supervision guidance for instances when a parent/legal guardian cannot attend a unit-coordinated overnight activity with their Scout.
- Clarification that Webelos/Arrow of Light den coordinated campouts must meet all Cub Scout camping requirements including having a BALOO-trained adult leader in attendance.
- Clarification that Webelos/Arrow of Light dens may participate and camp at a Scouts BSA troop campout and that all Cub Scout camping requirements still apply, including having a BALOO-trained, registered adult leader in attendance.
- Clarification that Webelos/Arrow of Light dens may only participate at a Scouts BSA “camporee” as day visitors.

If your pack or Webelos/AOL den wants to go camping at a location that is not listed, send an email to lhccamping@scouting.org with the following information and the LHC Camping Department will help coordinate an appraisal of the site. Site appraisals may take two to three weeks to complete.

Cub Scout unit-coordinated camping events are those overnight events scheduled, planned, and coordinated by individual pack leadership at the unit level. This includes Webelos and Arrow of Light den-coordinated camping. Cub Scout unit-coordinated camping events do not include district/council level-planned and coordinated overnight events where the district/council is coordinating event leadership and program. Examples of district/council-coordinated overnight events include “Webelos-rees,” council-coordinated family camps, Winter Weekends, and summer resident camps.
