Raising the Flag, Building Character: Scouts Lead Community Flag Ceremony
Every time the American flag is raised, it serves as a reminder of the freedoms we enjoy and the responsibility we all share to serve our communities. Recently, Scouts from the Laurel Highlands Council had the privilege of leading a community flag raising ceremony alongside local leaders, veterans, first responders, and residents.
The ceremony provided Scouts with an opportunity to demonstrate the proper procedures for raising the American flag while honoring those who have served our country. Events like these reinforce the principles of respect, citizenship, and leadership that are at the heart of the Scouting program.
